Important message regarding provider payments: You may have seen a message on our provider portal or on recent claims payment statement (EOP) about a reduction in payment. We want to make sure you know that this reduction does not affect you. Because of sequestration budget rules, Medicare providers may see a reduction in their payments. But STAR+PLUS Medicaid providers are not affected by this in any way. We appreciate your service to our members and invite you to call us at 877-653-0331 if we can answer any questions. |
Welcome to the HealthSpring STAR+PLUS plan. We value our relationship with all of our Providers and are committed to working with you to meet the needs of your patients, our Members.
HealthSpring recognizes the immeasurable contribution that you, as a Provider, make to the STAR+PLUS program. To ensure you have access to all of the resources and tools needed to support HealthSpring Members, HealthSpring’s Provider Services team is available. Provider Services can assist you when you have questions or need to schedule an educational in-service. They also can assist you when daily operations do not go as planned and you need help resolving a problem.
Notice for Providers located in the Tarrant Service Area:
Effective April 1, 2013, HealthSpring will be changing our STAR+PLUS Provider Services phone number. The new number will be 877-653-0331.
Starting April 1, 2013, you may call this number to do the following:
- Verify eligibility, benefits, and prior authorizations on file
- Receive assistance in finding the correct departments
- Verify claims receipt or review claim status
- Process demographic changes such as PCP on file, and member or provider address changes
- Rceive assistance with HealthSpring’s public website & secure Provider Portal
